Driver printer is necessary when you want your printer do the task correctly. The software is also needed for other tasks to such as faxing, scanning, and copying documents. Therefore, you need to know how to install the driver correctly. First of all, you need to connect your printer to your PC. Actually, installing a driver for your printer is a Windows’ job and function. However, not all Windows are able to do it automatically. So, you need to install it manually.

Ways To Install Driver Printer

Quit other programs for your PC and then you need to read the instruction on your printer or you can find it on the internet about the installation process of your printer’s model. Follow the instructions is necessary to make the installation process success. Click ‘Start’, then go to the ‘Settings’, and click ‘Control Panel’. After that, you will find ‘Printers and Faxes, double-click on this. And there will be ‘Add Printer’, double-click this option. After you double click this option, there will be popup menu, you need to click ‘Next’. You have two options which are Local or Network Printer and you need to choose the Local one. Before you click ‘Next’, make sure that you don’t check the ‘Automatically install driver printer’ box.

The next thing is to install the driver. If you have the installation CD, you can insert it into your PC and detect the INF file that matches with your printer model and serial number. To know the serial number, you can check it in the printer itself. If it matches, then you just click ‘Run the driver’. Follow the instruction by clicking ‘Next’ on the popup menu and the installation process will begin. It takes 10 to 15 minutes to installing driver printer.
